Welcome back. Today I would love to share a fun and interesting project I made with an old candy box. I trained a new nurse and as a thank you so provided me with a supply of locker goodies. One such sweets was a box of Ferrero Rocher Chocolates. It was so cute I kept it to make something out of it. I found the paper I wanted to use but dug around in my stash until I found the 5 inch circle shaker and the Large Gear Frames to over lap on the shaker card.

This project came together relativity fast. The tricky part was getting the acetate in the right spot and cutting the windows out in the paper in the right spot. Once I got all the paper in the right spot, I got going on making the shaker. I put a base of paper down and new I needed to cover the back also because it would show through when you opened up the box. Then I filled it with all kinds of pretty little shaker elements, glitter and micro beads.

Using a few of the gear frames in a layering fashion. I added a little bit of sand texture paste and my normal combo of Quinn Gold, Yellow Iron Oxide and Paynes Grey to get the desired rust effect.

Using some glue I attached the gear frames right onto the 5 inch shaker and then attached it to the box. This box it going to get some goodies from someone special. I hope you enjoy the project and how versatile mixing and matching different chipboard elements.
