I have a special two day post on a project I did for a special friend. I had this idea brewing for a while and figured I better just do it and get it done. So why not make a special date book to keep birthdays, anniversaries and other special dates. Even with technology these days and computerized date books, I still like to have something I can write, touch and keep close by.
For the mean time lets get started on the outside and look forward to seeing the inside tomorrow.
I started with the Junk Journal Cover 2, and after some subtle background inking with the distressed circle and square stencil. I added texture with the Distress Grid Stencil.
I made a video for you of the whole process. So you can see the step by step process.
After the background work was done it was time to build up the focal point. I started the layers with the barbed wire boarder 4 and building up with large gears and fairy wings and to top it off with a Relic.
I finished the binding with some more texture with the distress weave stencil and some metal to add to that grunge look of the journal.
So make sure you come back tomorrow to see the inside of the book and all the fun that went into make it.
