Gelli Printing with Creative Embellishments

Welcome back for the rest of the mixed media grunge journal. Today we are going to go through some gelli printing with lots and lots of goodies. I have to make a declaration to begin, I am not a pro by any means, I like to play, paint and get messy and that is exactly what I do when I get my plates out.

I wanted to make a special date book using the months/weeks tab. But the only way I thought I could incorporate the tabs was to build them directly into the pages. So I thought why not gelli print, so I did.

I made a video of my idea, so it is easier to understand so enjoy.

I ended up making a total of 28 pages. 12 months of the year, extra sheets for “Notes” and the front and back inside cover. So using almost every one of my favorite stencils and numerous stamps, (which will be linked below) I made some really neat looking pages.

After I finished all the printing I cut the pages to fit within the junk journal cover 2. Using the tabs, I glue them between two pages, making sure to keep my pages matching.

And to add a little extra. I painted the corresponding months of they year to match that particular page.

After putting the dates in on every single page. It was just down to assembling the journal, I used a pre-bought binding and just punch holes in the pages. I think the pages turn easier from month to month.
