I just got back from a cruise where I got to meet up with some scrappy friends and also meet some amazing new ones. I did a little make and take while there and used some of Nicolles fabulous chipboards from the store. These is a replica of the tag of course with a little more media on it. I just love my texture.
I actually decided to use an older paper collection and I started with background on the large tags, I always make two incase I don’t like one, which sometimes they one or both end up in the bin. But staring with some texture on the background with some crackle paste. (trying to use up stash) I then covered with the Distress Patterned Stencil, before adding some stamping with the Distress Circle Stamp.
After the background was done I did simple inking on the circle chipboard and square pieces.
I added simple layers of paper cut outs and used the boat wheels and crabs to use as fillers and added a few shells and flowers to the focal points.
A little video of the creative process for you all.
Here are a few more closeups.
It’s a fitting beach and sea themed tag. Perfect for the recent adventure we all just had, but more to come on that on another day. Ohh the stories…….
