Timeless Memories
Hello All, I want to share a fun sassy layout today. The kids and I went to the “Tall Ships of Duluth” this past summer. It was a beautiful sunny hot day, which is not normal for the shores of Lake Superior. So I gave in and let them get a giant palm tree smoothie.
So when I pulled the papers out from the 7 dots collection is said how fun is this! Totally matches the palm trees and Maksim’s shirt is perfect!
I did a fair amount of work and prep on this layout.. I used the circles stamp on the background to add more details to the paper and thought it would be super cool to use straws to pop and add dimension. I actually wrapped wire around the straws to pull more of the doodle out of the paper.
Along with wrapping the straws, wrapped the title chippie and the frame work and even threw some extra wire in there with the flowers.
As far as the frame goes, I left the base grunge square frame the natural color it was and used 2 different shades of embossing powder to add some shine and color. I didn’t want to completely cover the frame so I sporadically dabbed the embossing medium on before coating with the powder. Then I just heat set it.
Such a fun layout to make and great memories that day.
