‘Tis The Season
Here are some more cards made for the up coming holiday. I saw this template at mom’s house the other day and snagged it from her. We have such different styles when it comes to scrapping that I new I had to lift from it and see what I could come up with.
So I made a little tutorial in case anyone wanted to try it for themselves.

I used a 8.5×11 piece of card stock, cut it at 4.5 inches. Scored it vertically at 6″.

Put on the diagonal score plate and score at 3 3/4″ and 8 1/4″

Flip paper over and score again at 3 3/4″ and again at 8 1/4″. (I messed up so ignore the one score line)

Cut off the top two corners to and fold according to picture.

Now the fun begins, picking out the paper and start cutting. a total of (4) 3″x3″ squares are needed per card and 2 of them will be cut in half. I also cut 6×4 1/2″ pieces and scored and cut appropriately to cover the larger portion of the card.

I used a decorative die and added some detail. I also inked the edges to soften the look.

I decide to break up the inside and cut another 3×3 inch paper for the holiday sentiment.

And then the real fun begins, all the pretty flowers and details.
So here are some close ups:
I used a little piece of Velcro to keep the card closed.
I used some glitter mesh to give it some more details and texture, and did some stenciling right over the mesh.
I hope you give these a try they are fun and different from the traditional A2 cards. So off I go to make some matching envelopes.
