Hello all, I want to share a fun mixed media layout entitled “Catching Waves”. As summer is over and we all start catching up on scraping those fun summer time memories. This was a fun day, relaxing at the lake, just catching some waves. Enjoying some leisure time off of work and with the family out on the boat.
This was a fun day, relaxing at the lake, just catching some waves. I made a little video of the process.
I started out with lots of background work, stamping with various colours and stamps some subtle like the Distress Crackle and Circle Bokeh Stamp and some not so subtle like the Distress Chicken Wire Stamp.
After some stamping I used some copper coloured crackle paste with the Fish Net Stencil to add a little more details. After letting that dried and adding some spray, I started to put my focal point together.
Using the Nautical Corner 2 and the Nautical Badge, I used embossing powder to add a sand look to it.
I needed a title for the page, something that helps tell the story, Using the Beach Word Set 2, I did more heat embossing to the Catching Waves Words.
After adding the frond set to the flower clusters, I finished it of with a little Sail Away Flair. And added some Splats to finish it off.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the video and get inspired to get a little creative today.
