Something Found ~ Creative Embellishments

Another month at Creative Embellishments and great mood board with another unique twist. Something found…..Well the kids and I find stuff all the time in the gardens, most of the time alive, but sometimes dead. Over the years we have found butterflies and moths that have completed their circle of life. So for this month I wanted to showcase one of the beauties we have found. I started with the Large Tag and after covering, I did a variety of stamping with different stamps and colours. I used some of my favourites: Distress Checkered, Distressed Moroccan and the Distressed Burlap. There is a subtle checkered pattern in the paper and I added some more texture with the Distress Checkered Stencil. Using the Oval Intricate Frame, I showcase the butterfly. And titled the tag with the Unique word from Unique Word Set. I made a video of how this came together. With the kids being home from school on summer holiday and the weather being so beautiful, I do create outside as much as possible. This day of creating was another day to enjoy those times.

Here is the inspirational photo and the twist again is to use something found on your project.

  2. A beautiful project! The frame and embellishments showcase the butterfly perfectly! I love that you create outside in the nice weather. Now that we are just coming into spring, here, and the weather is warming up, I am looking forward to spending more time in the garden.
