It seems like it has been forever since spring has been around. My grass is still brown, but the snow is gone. Fingers crossed until next year. I want to share a layout I made with one of our many creatures that come to visit us in our gardens. My gardens are my relaxation and my saving grace from the hustle and bustle of life and work, so I am anxiously awaiting the warmer weather.
I made a video of the creative process.
Using the flourish 26 and 23, I added simple colour with archival ink. Before layering my die-cut elements, flowers and lace trimmings.
I cut apart a set of wings from the fairy wings set 1 and added tissue paper and liquid glass to give the illusion of actual dragon fly wings.
I used on of my favourite stencil, the distress grid stencil on the back ground. I mixed some metallic acrylic paint with modeling paste to get the texture effect. Such a delicate page featuring such a delicate creature. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Spring!

Such a beautiful mood board, I got inspiration from the flowers and the colour tones from the more neutral colour pictures. Flowers can be such serenity for me after dealing with a busy night at work. It’s such a calming feeling to walk through the gardens and see all the life growing about.
