Close to Home

Today I am sharing  a grungy, rustic layout. “Close to Home” a rustic layout of a long road, capturing the everyday beauty that surrounds us, Somewhere in Nebraska and close to home, a lone road sharing mother natures beauty. Thank you Laura for the photo.

I love this collection from 7 Dots and I thought it worked perfectly with this photo. I want to share the process and evolution of this layout.

I love texture, and masculine layouts tend to be my favorite right now. I added tons of background details with stamping using the Half tone Circle Stamp Distressed Corner Stamp along with some other stamping.Texture was added  with the Metal Stencil.

To add some flare to the Barbed Wire Chipboard and the Grunge Square Frame, I added some wire to give it the true effect. I continued with the rustic look with the aged looking metal pieces and some vintage Norwegian Book pages.

I hope you have your own long road, to enjoy the view and beauty all around.
