Traditions

Tis the season of traditions and fun family time. Here in my neck of the woods, We always seem to have a ton of snow. So when we had kids, we wanted to have something that we could do as a family. So when it comes down to getting the tree, we go on a wagon ride and cut one down our selves.

Maksim is in this picture(he’s on my lap), he just didn’t want his picture taken.

Every year it is a different adventure. One year it rained, just poured, and we where the only ones on the wagon. We always try and go when it is snowing, that seems to be so festive and fun.

Word Inspiration – TRADITIONS

Creative Challenge – HANDMADE

I attempted…..more than once…..to make a star. I tried paper, I tried vellum, I ended up going with the SS wire, and this wasn’t my first attempt,  hehe but I do like the look of it. I also made the homemade flowers out of piano paper.

I made the shape of the tree with ripped triangles of paper, and glued them in the shape of a tree. After the fact, my tree is cricked, which I guess isn’t too far off from the normal trees we get. (The kids pick out the tree.)

I hope you all have traditions and fun family time during this festive season.

Thank you for stopping by.
