Christmas Ornaments
I had this crazy idea to make some christmas ornaments and add the twist of making them actually light up. So I actually made a few various of bulbs trying different techniques.
Shabby
In case you are wondering how this even transformed….here is a glimpse of the process. I actually used my knife attachment to my sodering rod and cut the end off of the light bulb. After cleaning the guts out of the light bulb, I used some apoxie sculpt and made holders for the LED lights.
Flower Bulb
I used the Flower Relic on this bulb and used a larger bulb. I added some texture with some texture sand and simple elegance with some dresden trim around the edges. I added a colored window with some holographic paper and ink.
My Flaming Bulb
I think my favorite of them all. I used two of the Flames from the Flaming Hearts collection. Using a clear bulb, I put some glitter on the inside and added texture with glass glitter and medium to the outside. Simple and pretty.
My Angel Wings
My first and most frustrating piece to date. I don’t know how many times and how many different layers of paint, then colour and back to no colour, and then again the whole precess over, but finally something worth looking at. I lost count of how many times I restarted this one.
I like the over all out come of this. so much I actually started a variation of this one to show on a later date. If I don’t get too frustrated 😉
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope the holidays bring you great joy.
