“Oh Shake it up!”
Oh my these cards where fun. Olga Heldwein from the Flying Unicorn Creative Team did a fabulous Ustream class making these shaker cards. There were so many neat tips and tricks in the class and the card was phenomenal, I had to try my hand at it.
When trying something new, I tend to make two of them at the same time. On occasion, one or sometimes both end up in the trash. But at least I don’t have to start from the very beginning if something goes drastically bad.

I used 13@rts Cozy Christmas we got in last December’s KOM. So they both are a little different.
One problem that I ran into with both cards: not enough glitter. Yep you heard me, not enough. Not realizing how big that pocket was and not exactly sure where the horizon would end up, I found out I did not have enough glitter. So I gently opened up a little hole in the top seal, hoping I didn’t rip the paper and funneled in a boat load of more glitter.
The scenery part was just a lot of playing around to see what looked good and where. Then some flower clusters and some daubles. And let the fun begin. I could have play with the texture pastes all day long. I am lovin’ the icicle look on this card. SO I am going to have to find something else to do that technique on.
I do suggest if you have some time to play and see some really neat techniques, watch the video and have fun!
Thank you for stopping by today.
