Altered Double Wine Bottle Holder
This is an altered wine box, I was asked to make for a co-worker’s mother. I picked this wine bottle holder up at a sale this summer. I have a tendency to pick things up, stare at them for months and then get crazy creative. Evelyn asked if I could make her mother something and I thought this would be perfect.
This box was homemade, It fits two standard wine bottles. I added a layer of gesso.
I used some Walnut Ink to add some base color.
Evelyn said that her mom likes flowers, jewels, soft greens, yellows and whites. So this is what I came up with.
I don’t drink wine very often and I recently broke my only wine opener, So I figured it would be fitting to add it on here.
I added a soem pretties on the inside also.
I have to thank my good friend Wendy for the bottle of homemade wine. I didn’t think I had a bottle around. Fits perfectly.
I added some stencil and details on the sides and back.
I hope Evelyn’s mom has a wonderful 70th birthday and enjoys her gift. Much love was used in making this.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Heather
