“Always and Forever”
As this week slowly rolls on, and emotions are so high. I wanted to do a window box of my cousin Vannessa who passed away tragically on Tuesday night. I made this for the wake service and funeral that is coming up this weekend. This is one of my favorite pictures of her.
This picture was taken by my mom who was her “other mother”. It was taken where I work and we have a “healing garden” outside the CCU. How ironic that we all need healing now.
Vannessa had a single yellow flower in her wrist corsage and I wanted to incorporate the yellow in the project.
As my sisters, my mom and I did the picture boards today. I was putting all of this together. I got a lot of great input from the girls.
I love the brown twine, I think it adds to the subtle colors of the background in the picture.
I also got to fiddle with some Mon Ami Gabby. I used lots of goodies.
This is the finale. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to get a decent picture of it. After the service I plan on giving this to my Uncle Ted and his wife Lisa.
Thank you all for your condolences during this awful time. I feel grateful to be involved in a community such at this. And to have support there.
♥Heather
