“Into the Wilderness” Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial For 7 Dots Studio

I know I used an older collection for this Canvas, But one of my goals this year is to use up some older stash of supplies. And the Nature Walk collection worked perfect with the picture I wanted to focus on. Not only the name but the paper it’s self.

This picture is in Norway taken by my good friend Yasmin. It is of her husband and their dog Penny somewhere up on one of the many beautiful mountains.

I did a fair number of background techniques on this page.  I started by making the mosaic background and added loads of texture with pastes and paints to bring out the colour and feel of the photo.

I also added natural elements to the canvas, from tree bark, to poppy pods left over from the garden. I felt it really helped with the feel of the canvas. And it just adds that special touch.
