Denim

When I saw Finnabair’s challenge, I knew I had something that would work. My boy Maksim is so hard on his jeans, needless to say picking a pair of jeans ended up turning into clearing out multiple pairs with holes in the knees. I had many options to work with.

Then it was trying to find the right pic. Well, that was more difficult than I though, but I found one that would work of Maksim and Daddy in their matching Carhartts.

I actually took off the inner tag, the back label and, made some tags with the denim.

I knew what I was going to write but getting it “right” was going to be tough.

I tried to match the denim to match the Carhartt jackets  (pictures don’t show the effect). I  painted it with some Color Blooms Worn Leather to add more browns to the denim.

I used the bootcut tag from the jeans, along with the leather tag from the back side.

Lots and lots of layering today and no flowers.

I even added some frayed edges through out the layout.
