Tree Hunting

Tree Hunting

I am trying to catch up on some of the kids and their books. I’m only about one year behind with some odds and ends scattered through out. But overall I’m doing pretty good. This is a two page layout with inserts. I have just a huge problems limiting the pictures I use. I love using the inserts because it uses up some of my stash and I can have more pictures and it doesn’t look so crowded.

This is last years (2013) tree hunting adventure. It was raining but warm enough to still enjoy ourselves. It was rather beautiful and calming.

I am entering this in the Creative Embellishment January Challenge. I knew when I saw the inspirational picture that I wanted to do these pics.

I used the Tree boarder from CE and did some heat embossing lightly so I still had some brown chipboard peeking through.

Moving on to page 2. Every year we try and get pictures of all 4 of us together. Some years it works…..some years is doesn’t (ok most years it doesn’t) lol.

I painted some CE Snowflakes Gold and sprinkled with some Prima Glitter Glass. Love that effect.

Maksim got cranky this year.

So I have to admit. I am using a new camera so: #1 I am still getting familiar with it. And #2 with my sudden vision loss now I have a reason for blurry pictures. So to me all the pictures look blurry.  So if they are really bad, I would hope some one lets me know.

Here is the insert. (8″x12″)  I love this paper collection. My Swirly Secret Santa Peggy gave this to me and I love it! Great colors and patterns. Excellent choice. I used some CE stamps and added some detail to some of the flowers.

This is the other side of the insert. I used some Prima and 13@rts Masks for some texture.

Such a fun time.
